Laundry Service in Kew

Large period homes on generous blocks with driveway access throughout. Kew Junction has cafes, restaurants, and medical practices. The former Kew Cottages site has added significant new residential density.

Kew is predominantly owner-occupied families — about 70% of homes are owned rather than rented, and the predominant age group is 50–59. The housing on streets like Sackville, Wrixon, and Alfred is grand Victorian and Edwardian on generous blocks, with driveways and established gardens. The former Kew Cottages site on Main Drive off Princess Street has added around 280 homes and apartments — large double-storey houses alongside some apartment buildings — creating a distinct new pocket in the suburb’s north. Willsmere Estate on Wiltshire Drive, converted from the old Kew Asylum, has over 150 apartments and 100 townhouses behind secure entry. Between Main Drive, Willsmere, and pockets of walk-up flats along Cotham Road, there’s more apartment stock in Kew than people expect from a suburb known for big houses.

The western side of Kew around Studley Park is genuinely hilly — steep drops toward the Yarra River on streets like Walmer and Hodgson. We haven’t had issues with it, but it’s worth knowing. Central and eastern Kew is flatter and straightforward. Most freestanding homes have driveways and sometimes rear laneway access, so parking is rarely an issue on residential streets. Kew Junction itself is congested — trams 48 and 109 converge there, and parking is metered with short time limits. We avoid the junction and approach from the quieter residential streets. For the Main Drive estate, access is from Princess Street — the internal roads are open and houses have standard front-door access. Willsmere uses intercom entry, so include your building details when you book.

We service all of Kew — from Kew Junction to Studley Park and the Yarra River. Our driver picks up your laundry, we wash, dry, and fold it at our facility, and deliver it back within 48 hours.
