Moonee Ponds has two distinct residential worlds. The heritage streets — Lorne, Park, Derby, Ardmillan Road — have intact Victorian terraces, Federation homes, and California Bungalows behind picket fences. Move towards the town centre and the scale changes completely. Mason Square on Hall Street is over 1,200 apartments across five towers, and the Moonee Valley Park development on the old racecourse land is adding another 3,000 dwellings in stages along Dean Street and Thomas Street. Many of these newer apartments have shared laundry facilities or compact European-style machines. We’ve picked up from the Moonee Valley Park apartments — it can take some coordination to meet customers in these larger complexes, so clear access instructions when booking make a real difference.

Puckle Street itself is near-impossible to park on during business hours — parking sensors enforce time limits and the spaces fill quickly. The residential side streets a block or two back are generally fine during the day, though streets near the racecourse development can have construction traffic. For apartment buildings, include your building name and unit number when booking. Period homes throughout the suburb have direct front-door access behind low fences, which makes pickup straightforward.
