Three sizes of washer to match your load — from a 9kg machine for everyday washing at $7, up to an 18kg machine for doonas and bulky items at $13. Card payment only, no coins needed. Detergent and laundry supplies available from the vending machine on-site.

First-Time Visitor Guide
Allow 50–80 minutes for a complete wash and dry. Doors lock at 10pm — no entry after that. Arrive by 9pm to finish comfortably before lights off at 10:30pm.
Payment is card-only — Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Apple Pay, and Google Pay all accepted. No coins, no notes, no change machine. If you need soap, softener, or bleach, there's a vending machine on-site — but you're welcome to bring your own.
All machines are self-service. Choose your wash program at the machine — options include Cold, Warm, Hot, Delicate, and a dedicated Blankets cycle. Dryers run in 5-minute increments — most loads take 20–45 minutes depending on fabric and load size. If you're washing a large load in the 18kg machine, you'll need to split across two dryers (they're 14kg each).
Getting Here
We're at 186 Lygon Street, Brunswick East — right on the tram line. Routes 1 and 6 stop directly outside. If you're driving, there's free street parking on Lygon Street with a two-hour limit during business hours — unrestricted evenings and Sundays.
The laundromat is fully wheelchair accessible with flat entry via a wide ramp, spacious aisles, and plenty of room to move between machines.
While You Wait
A wash cycle runs about 26 minutes — enough time to grab something nearby. Here are a few of our go-to spots within walking distance.
For coffee and something sweet, Sweet Anthony is directly across the road. Toledo is a short walk down to the Albert Street corner — great food too if you're hungry. If you're here in the evening, Spice Mix is literally next door for a curry, and Eat Pierogi Make Love is just down the road for Polish dumplings and vodka (open from midday on weekends too).
The Final Whistle Sports Bar & Grill is a few doors up if you want to catch a game while you wait. For something different, Bahama Gold is a tiny wine bar with natural wines on tap and a serious vinyl sound system — open from midday. And if you just want a gelato, Zero Gradi on the southern end of the strip is worth the walk.
If you'd rather stretch your legs, Methven Park is a couple of minutes away — shady elms, a playground, and an off-leash dog area.
