Travancore is genuinely tiny — seven residential streets covering less than half a square kilometre. But it packs in a surprising amount of housing. The heritage streets — Mooltan, Baroda, Cashmere, Lucknow, Madura, Mangalore — have 1920s and 30s single-storey brick homes set well back from the street, many with Art Deco or Spanish Mission detailing. Along Mount Alexander Road on the southern edge, apartment towers like the ALT at number 18 and Sienna at number 38 house the majority of the suburb’s residents. About three-quarters of all dwellings are apartments, and the suburb skews young — median age 29, mostly renters, many without a car. These are exactly the residents who benefit most from pickup and delivery.

Parking is tight throughout Travancore. The heritage streets are narrow with limited off-street parking, and near the towers, street spaces fill quickly. Mount Alexander Road carries the Route 59 tram, so there are clearway restrictions during peak times. For the apartment towers, we meet you at ground level with your laundry — include your building name, unit number, and any access instructions when booking. The heritage houses are the opposite: direct front-path access behind low fences, no security barriers. Most of the heritage streets also have rear laneways, which can work as an alternative access point if the street is full.
